A
PROPHETIC WORD
by
Dr. James Laine

By way of introduction, you may know
Dr. James A. Laine as a Clinical Pastoral Counselor.
You may not know that he has been called by God to be a Forerunner
Prophet. Forerunner Prophets are being
sent into the world to proclaim the message: “Prepare the way of the Lord.
Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.”
The primary message is that this is the season of preparation for the
Bride of Christ to prepare herself for the coming of the Lord.
On September 17 I said in part:
HOW
DID WE GET HERE? For two centuries we have enjoyed God’s protection and
blessing because, as "one nation under God", we honored Him and were
the major international exporter of the Gospel.
In
the generations since the Second World War, our nation has attacked Godliness,
Righteousness, God, Religion, and Religious freedom. We have murdered our
babies, flaunted our sexual sin, and tried to stop the free expression of
faith. Removed the Ten Commandments, Crosses and Christmas. Yesterday, a
mother told me that her six year old was placed on in-school-suspension for
praying before he ate at school!
WE
HAVE LOWERED THE HEDGE OF PROTECTION AROUND OUR NATION! We have opened the
door for this war. A holy "war against" us, and our God.
WHAT
NOW? Tough times are not over. We need to act aggressively, spiritually.
We
need to repent - personally and for our nation and our national leaders.
We
need to pray for mercy and deliverance.
We
need to pray for the victims’ families.
We
need to pray for our true Arab brethren who also love and serve Jesus, because
hatred will be sent their way.
We
need to unite with all people of true faith for unity and reconciliation.
We
need to reevaluate our personal priorities: spiritual, moral, financial, and
time.
WE
NEED TO GET RID OF THE DELUSION OF SAFETY. We deceive ourselves into believing
that there are SAFE places where we cannot be touched. This has always been a
delusion. We can be touched ANYPLACE! The ONLY place of safety is security in
Jesus. If we are safe in Him, we can be a peace in the midst of the storm.
The
week of September 17, I sought the Lord in solitude of the woods.
During that time, God impressed on me the following:
-
Thousands
of years ago, Abraham failed to trust the Lord for His promise.
In an effort to create the child of the promise, he had sex with his
wife’s maid and produced Ishmael. Ishmael
was later rejected and sent off to become the father of the Arab people. Some of the offspring of Ishmael grew to hate and resent the
offspring of Isaac, the true son of the promise. This animosity was foretold by God in Genesis 16:12. Abraham’s
sin, created the context for the hatred that brought about the attack of
September 11. It is not a
political battle. It is an
ancient spiritual battle and an attack on the God of Abraham, Isaac, and
Jacob.
“We are not contending against
flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against
the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spiritual hosts of
wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians
6:12.
-
In
Luke 13, Jesus talked to some followers about the victims of two terrible
events. In one of the events
eighteen people were killed when the tower of Siloam fell on them.
Jesus asked: “Do you think that they were worse offenders than all
the others who dwelt in Jerusalem? I
tell you, No; But unless you repent you will all likewise perish.”
Repentance
was one of Jesus’ major messages. It
was a primary message of the Old Testament as well. It was the primary message of John the Baptizer: “Repent
for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
The
people of the New Testament were religious and arrogant.
They professed a strict religion but walked in gross personal sin.
They were very much like us. We
profess how much God loves us. We
proclaim His Grace and flaunt our freedom from religious law.
In doing so, we of the Church abort our children, divorce our spouses,
commit adultery with “saved” and “unsaved alike”, pursue our
drunkenness, build our personal fortunes at the expense of the work of the
Gospel. We spend our time at
leisure and financial enrichment and have no time for prayer and mediation on
the Word. A large percentage of
“saved” men are addicted to pornography.
Many pastors spend five or ten minutes in prayer and meditation daily and
get their sermons from manuals and periodicals.
Many are “professional ministers” and not “called pastors”. We kept silent as the religious freedoms of expression, which
were the cornerstone of this nation, were being stripped away.
Two
decades ago, God sent forth the Word through our land:
“…If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray
and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven,
and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14.
We
did NOT humble ourselves. We did
NOT pray. We did NOT seek God’s
face. We did NOT turn from our
wicked ways. In fact, since that
time, we have become proud and arrogant about our freedom to live in sin and
still be accepted by God!
NOW,
GOD IS TELLING US WE HAVE NO CHOICE. We
have so deteriorated the spiritual shield of defense around this nation that if
we do not do as commanded by 2 Chronicles 7:14, our nation will be fully
devastated!
If
Jesus is Lord, then we best do as He says.
Lordship means: Whatever you want Lord.
Whenever you want it Lord. Wherever
you want it Lord. No matter what it
cost me.
If
we are Christian, then we had better get serious about repenting, humbling
ourselves, seeking God’s face and turning from our wicked ways.
We had better seek forgiveness for our nation.
We had better pray for revival.
